03 · The operating loop

How SearchHandled runs it.

The same loop as every other terrain, run on the page families above and under your rules.

01

Research

We find the questions supporters and evaluators actually ask (where the money goes, is this registered, how do I help near me) before the cause-awareness topics.

02

Publish

Impact and fundraising claims hold for review. Nothing states a beneficiary number or a donation outcome that your own reporting does not support.

03

Refresh

Impact pages carry a year. The loop makes sure last year's report is not still the page a donor lands on in December.

04 · The rules for this industry

What never publishes without a person.

Impact and fundraising content holds for review. Donation claims are regulated in most jurisdictions, and an overstated impact figure damages a charity far more than a competitor ever could.

Won't write

Held at any automation setting

  • Impact figures, beneficiary counts, or 'your £X buys' claims without your data
  • Statements about tax treatment of donations
  • Beneficiary stories or images without documented consent
  • Overhead or efficiency ratios not taken from your published accounts
These are refusals, not defaults. There is no setting that turns them off.

Structured data

The markup that actually applies.

  • NGO
  • Organization
  • Event
  • Person
  • BreadcrumbList

NGO is the correct Organization subtype and is widely missed. Registration number and sameAs links to the regulator's register are the highest-value properties here, because verifiability is the sector's core trust signal.

Location pages

Where geography is real.

Local branch and service pages are real where services are actually delivered there. A national charity generating a page per town to catch 'charity near me' is doorway construction, and in this sector it also erodes exactly the trust the organisation runs on.

Evidence

What you have to be able to show.

Published accounts, a registration number linked to the regulator's own register, named trustees, and impact reporting with its methodology. Donors and assistants both check registration first; everything else is downstream of that.

05 · Assistants

How nonprofit loses in AI answers.

Assistants recommend charities from evaluator sites and regulators' registers. Getting named means being findable and consistent in those registers, and having published impact data an evaluator can actually read.

The prompts we would sample

  • Which charity actually uses donations well in this cause area?
  • How much of my donation reaches the cause?
  • How can I volunteer for something like this near me?
  • Is this organisation legitimate and registered?
Assistant answers are personalised and happen in private conversations, so any sample is a logged-out approximation, never a measure of how many of your buyers saw what.
