ClickUp integration
ClickUp is on the map, not in the product yet.
A task in the List your team plans from for every content item the pipeline produces.
How it works
ClickUp connects with a personal token or OAuth on ClickUp's stable v2 API, creating tasks through the standard endpoint for the List you choose. Each content item in the pipeline becomes a task there, so drafts to review and pieces going live show up where your team already triages work.
In the loop, ClickUp carries the write and publish steps into your team's task system. A draft that needs review is a task someone can claim, and a published piece is a task that closes, which keeps the content program inside the same tool that runs the rest of your work instead of in a separate queue nobody checks.
Best forTeams who plan work in ClickUp and want content pipeline items appearing as tasks in an existing List.
Setup, step by step
- Choose personal token or OAuth on the ClickUp card; OAuth is the better fit for shared team connections.
- Authorize the connection with a ClickUp account that can create tasks in the target List.
- Pick the Workspace, Space, and List the pipeline should create tasks in.
- Choose which pipeline events create tasks, from draft-ready through published.
- Create a test task to confirm placement and formatting look right.
Best practices
Point the pipeline at a working List
Tasks only help if they land where your team triages. A content List your editors actually work from beats a catch-all List, and the connector can be repointed any time the structure changes.
Prefer OAuth for team connections
A personal token is bound to one user and dies with their access. OAuth survives individual account changes better, which matters for a connection the whole team relies on.
Use ClickUp statuses your own way
We create tasks; your team owns their statuses from there. Moving a task through your List's statuses is your workflow, and the pipeline does not fight it.
Keep event selection tight
Not every pipeline event deserves a task. Most teams create tasks for draft-ready reviews and let publish confirmations flow to Slack or email instead, which keeps the List actionable.

ClickUp is mid transition from v2 to v3
ClickUp's platform is moving from API v2 toward v3, so integrations built casually against moving surfaces can face churn as the transition progresses.
How we handle itWe build on the stable v2 API, which ClickUp continues to support, and we track the v3 rollout so any migration happens on our side, on our schedule, without a gap in your connection.

Legacy naming lingers in the v2 API
ClickUp renamed Team to Workspace in the product, but the v2 API still uses the old team naming in places, which can confuse anyone reading the connection's configuration.
How we handle itOur connector speaks the current product language, Workspace and Space and List, and handles the old API naming internally so the mismatch never reaches your screen.

Questions teams ask
- Can SearchHandled close or delete our tasks?
No. The pipeline creates tasks for the events you select and stops there. Status changes, assignment, and completion belong to your team inside ClickUp.
- Should we use a personal token or OAuth?
OAuth, in most cases. A personal token works and is quick for a solo setup, but it is bound to one user's account. OAuth is the sturdier choice for a connection the team depends on.
- What if we do not use ClickUp?
The email digest carries the same events, and the Trello, monday.com, Asana, and Linear integrations cover teams on other work tools.
Not connectable yet
Start with the plan, not the connector.
Build a Growth Map from your site to see the work itself. Approved pages can leave through the export or the webhook today, and telling us ClickUp matters moves it up the rollout.
