Looker Studio integration
Looker Studio is on the map, not in the product yet.
A community connector that drops your SearchHandled results into white-label Looker Studio dashboards.
How it works
The Looker Studio integration is a community connector, built on Apps Script and authorized with Google OAuth. Once added, SearchHandled appears as a data source in Looker Studio exposing published work, rankings, and traffic, and you compose it into reports like any other source: your layout, your branding, blended with data from other connectors if you want.
In the loop, this is the measure step made client-ready. Agencies drop the data source into white-label dashboards and give clients a live view of published work and results without screenshots or exports. Competitors gate connector access behind higher tiers, Ahrefs at Advanced and up, Semrush at Guru and up, and we do not: the connector comes with the product.
Best forAgencies and consultants reporting to clients through Looker Studio dashboards under their own brand.
Setup, step by step
- In Looker Studio, add a data source and search for the SearchHandled connector.
- Authorize it with Google OAuth and sign in to your SearchHandled account.
- Pick the workspace or client site the data source should expose.
- Add the source to a report and lay out the fields, or start from the template report we provide.
- Share the report with your client under your own branding.
Best practices
Start from the template, then make it yours
The template report covers published work, rankings, and traffic in a sensible layout. Copy it, apply your brand, and you have a client dashboard in minutes instead of an afternoon.
One data source per client
Scope each data source to a single client site. It keeps client reports strictly separated and makes sharing safe, since a report can only show the source it was built on.
Blend with other sources where it helps
Looker Studio can blend our data with GA4, Search Console, or ad platform connectors in one report. Our fields are named plainly so blends line up on page URLs without guesswork.
Keep report queries lean
Every chart in a report queries the connector, so a page with dozens of charts over long date ranges loads slowly. Fewer, clearer charts per page keep client dashboards fast.
Known issues
What practitioners actually report, from official docs, issue trackers, and community forums.
Connector maintenance is on us
Community connectors are maintained by their publisher, so changes in Looker Studio's connector platform could break the integration if the publisher is inattentive.
How we handle itWe treat the connector as a product surface, not a side project. It is maintained by us, tested against platform changes, and issues land in our support queue like any other part of SearchHandled.

Report performance depends on query volume
Reports with many charts, long date ranges, or heavy blending issue many connector queries and can load slowly for viewers.
How we handle itThe connector caches sensibly and the template report is built lean. For big multi-client reports, splitting by client and trimming date ranges keeps load times reasonable.

Questions teams ask
- Is the connector gated behind a plan tier?
No. Competitors gate Looker Studio access behind higher tiers, Ahrefs at Advanced and above, Semrush at Guru and above. Ours ships with the product because client reporting should not be an upsell.
- Can clients see the dashboard without a SearchHandled login?
Yes. You authorize the data source with your account, and anyone you share the Looker Studio report with sees the data through it. Clients need only the report link, not a SearchHandled seat.
- What data does the connector expose?
Published work, rankings, and traffic for the workspace or client site you scope it to. It is read-only by nature; a Looker Studio report can display your pipeline but never change it.
Not connectable yet
Start with the plan, not the connector.
Build a Growth Map from your site to see the work itself. Approved pages can leave through the export or the webhook today, and telling us Looker Studio matters moves it up the rollout.
